Welcome to another Life Catalyst Blog Post!
Now, I know that what I am about to say may sound strange to some of you, but if you think about it, sometimes it is great to use familiar associations to get the results we want.
I and a friend of mine had a fantastic day recently. We were celebrating his birthday and some of my new future developments. We asked the Universe to celebrate with us and at the end of the day we felt really joyful, probably in a way that is difficult to express. That calm joy that comes when you know life has given you all that you wanted.
But then the night arrived, and it was time to go to bed. While speaking with my friend on the phone he told me: “I don’t want to sleep, because I don’t want to wake up tomorrow. I don’t want this day to end.”
I felt moved by his quote, especially because I knew that he went through some difficult time recently.
This kept me thinking: how could we maintain happiness without let it drift away after it has been “consumed”?
Not Having Quite Enough
One of the most effective ways to maintain a state, is that of saying to yourself: “I haven’t got quite enough of it, I need it more”. This sense of unsatisfaction will inevitably pull you towards more of that state, simply because its cycle has not yet ended! Therefore, one way is simply to extend the cycle more and more.
Please note: when there is an inner spiritual joy in your heart, there is no cycle created. This joy is a pure signal from your core source/identity that is perfectly balanced and doesn’t have cycles or future repercussion due to the need of rebalancing
Feel Like You Have Just Bought Happiness From a Store
This is what could sound strange. But do you remember when you wanted to buy something at all costs, and when you finally bought it you knew it was yours? You didn’t have to look for it anymore. So, in the same way, use this association. Feel as you have just bought happiness. Since you felt it, now it is yours, and say to yourself : “you know what? I think I will buy this.”
Associate that sense of having ended the search for happiness, and that now is yours because you “bought” it.
Someone will say, what’s the price? Now, here you have to answer this question too: what is the price for sadness and conflicts of any kind when you find them in your life?
The price you pay for them is a difficult life, full of contradiction and un-fulfillment. The price you pay for happiness, is a life full of simple smiles, where your way is softened by love and a deeper understanding.
I hope this helps you, and leave a comment if you wish.
